Samsung Galaxy S Pro Revealed

Samsung Galaxy S Pro Revealed

More details about Samsung’s new Android handset have come to light due to a reliable tip received by Android Central, a website devoted to all things Android.

Prior to this leak, we’ve seen snaps of the Android phone appear, but little was known about the actual phone hardware. Assuming the tip is accurate, this has now changed as we now know that the Samsung Galaxy S Pro will come with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display screen which is the same size as the one presently found on the Galaxy S. As to how this compares to other handsets on the market, the Galaxy S Pro AMOLED screen is smaller then the one found on the HTC Evo 4G but larger then the Google Nexus One.

The Galaxy S Pro supports 480×800 pixel resolution and includes a slideout QWERTY keypad, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, 512MB RAM and at least 8GB internal memory. You’ll also get a 1x optical zoom, 720p HD video recording and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi network support.

As for the operating system, Android 2.1 is being reported as most likely, but Froyo 2.2 is possible by the launch date.
