O2 is now the fourth UK mobile phone carrier to introduce a Google Android based smartphone to their product line. Their latest addition is the Samsung Galaxy i7500.
The Samsung smartphone comes with a 3.2″ AMOLED touchscreen display, 5MP autofocus camera, 8GB of internal storage memory (expandable via microSD cards), GPS navigation, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Bluetooth and WiFi internet connectivity.
Being based on the Google Android operating system, the Galaxy i7500 integrates Google Maps nicely with the included GPS navigation and also offers mobile subscribers the opportunity to access the Android Marketplace, Google’s equivalent to the iTunes app store, where subscribers can download applications and software.
