Roller bags by themselves were a great invention — people no longer had to lug around their luggage wherever they went, and instead pulled their baggage behind them without slowing down or getting a hernia. Now, Samsonite and Micro Mobility have teamed up to create what might be the next big thing in travel fashion — the Trolley Scooter.
The Trolley Scooter, at first glance, looks like a regular roller bag — with an adjustable handle, several compartments, and two wheels. But stand it up, and you can flip out a footrest and a third wheel — and it turns into a scooter! Now travelers can scoot through airport terminals with this thing, making air travel just a little more fun. Should make for some good exercise.
Users probably can’t help but feel like they’re riding Segways with this thing, but at least it won’t set you back $5,000. People will probably look at you funny when they see it in action for the first time, but they’ll be looking for one the moment they get home.
There’s no price information on this little baby yet, but estimates peg it at US$200 or less. Not bad for something you could also use to pick things up at the local grocery.
