Times have changed very quickly. It was only a few months ago when we saw major technology vendors looking to boost their product lines by offering netbooks, smartbooks and dedicated e-book readers.
Now, the industry has shifted position and the focus is squarely on the tablet computer market with companies hoping to cash in after seeing the success of the Apple iPad, which by the way reached the one millionth iPad sold in just one month. Vendors looking to enter this market include Hewlett Packard, Dell and HTC to name just a few. We can now add Samsung to the list as it appears that they to are readying an Android tablet that could very possibly debut this August.
Called the S-Pad, the Samsung tablet will have a 7-inch AMOLED display and will include WiFi and 3G support, a USB port and access to Samsung’s Apps. There are no pricing details at this time, but this should be available closer to the launch date.
