Rubik’s Cube Gets A Makeover

Rubik’s Cube gets a makeover by puzzle designer Hidetoshi Takeji. The cube moves away from colored blocks and achieves a greater level of complexity by adopting mirrored blocks of varying shapes and sizes. Like the original, the concept of the cube remains unchanged and that is to recreate the cube.

It’s nice to see a new version of the cube as the old one was stale and showing it’s age. The new Rubik’s cube will keep people busy for a while as they attempt to figure out the patterns required to solve the puzzle, although you’ll probably start see people solving it sooner rather then later.

At this time, the new cube is only available through Amazon Japan.
