When it comes to the Angry Birds franchise, we’ve seen Rovio exhaust a number of different angles of this popular game. Though I’m sure there are lots of other versions that could be drawn up, it’s interesting to see that Rovio is looking to change things up.
Rather then playing the game from the bird’s perspective, it would seem that Rovio is drawing up plans to launch a game by the end of the year that will have players playing the game from the perspective of the pigs. Basically, your job will be to protect the stolen eggs that you have managed to steal from the birds. Although this will give gamers a chance to play the game from the other side, there will be many familiarities as the game will still feature the usual buildings as well as catapults. Additionally, just like the original versions of Angry Birds which saw the birds have unique features and skills, the new version that is due out before Christmas will see the pigs having different skills and strengths.
Do you think the new version of the game will have enough uniqueness to excite the base? Angry Birds Space was another popular installment in this franchise and in the first weekend, the company saw millions in sales. It will be interesting to see if the new upcoming game will see the same kinds of sales.
