A free RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 is always good if you’re in the market for this device and it looks like this is exactly what Rogers Wireless is going to offer, provisional upon a 3 year service contract. It’s not known if this is just a sale that is associated with a temporary price drop, or if this is something they plan to do on a permanent basis in order to clear their inventory to make room for perhaps a new handset.
Initially, when the BlackBerry Bold 9700 first appeared on the Rogers network, it carried a price tag of $299.99 on a three year customer agreement or $599.99 unsubsidized. So, todays new price will at least save you $300.
