Research In Motions (RIM) Blackberry Bold 9700 will now be available in Canada through Rogers Wireless.
The smartphone is available for purchase online for $299.99 provided you sign up for a 3 year voice and data plan. Without a data plan, the BB 9700 has a sticker price of $599.99.
Rogers will not be the only mobile provider to carry the Blackberry 9700 (Onyx) as both Bell and Telus have indicated that they offer the new phone once their HSPA networks are fully operational. For Bell, that would be November 4th and Telus will have completed their network upgrades by the following day. For those in the US, the rumor is that the 9700 will be available through T-Mobile on November 18th.
