Sony has announced three new RHT-G surround sound TV stands. The new models are the RHT-G550, the RHT-G950 and the RHT-G1550.
The new stands blend modern design with Sony’s home cinema surround audio tech to make an attractive unit on which to rest your TV. The three stands will come standard with Sony’s S-Force PRO Front Surround technology, S-Master digital amplification and signal processing.
The RHT-G550 was designed for 32-40-inch TVs and includes 330W 3.1-channel audio. The RHT-G950 was designed for 40-46-inch TVs and includes a built in 470W 5.1-channel speaker array, while the RHT-G1550 was designed for 46-55-inch TVs and includes a 550W 5.1-channel speaker array.
Both the G950 and the G1550 also have a handy space saving feature where the two rear corners of the stand are cut away to allow the units to easily slide into the corner of the room. It’s to bad they didn’t include this simple modification in the G550 as well. Expect to the see the G550 this July, while the other two models will be available in May.
