Wink glasses to reduce eye strain

Wink glasses may look like a pair of funny joke glasses, but these are actually medical aids designed to reduce eye strain amongst hardcore pc gamers.

Designed by Japan’s Masunaga Optical Manufacturing company, these glasses include sensitive sensors that detect how frequently the eyes blink. A normal eye blinks once every five seconds. Should the sensor detect that the user of these eye glasses is blinking less frequently, it will automatically fog up the glass panel and block your eyesight. The process reverses back to it’s original state once regular blinking resumes.

The Wink Glasses which will retail for $150 on August 10th in Japan are capable of holding an 8 hour charge which amounts to some serious game play and if that’s not enough, it can be connected to a free USB port as an alternative power source.
