This cool gadget is a concept design of an Electrolux vacuum. When Electrolux created the Silence Amplified which was the most quiet vacuum they had ever designed, it came to a point where silence was deafening and it was now time to fill the air with something. The question became what and since the Apple iPod has always been a popular music player, why not make incorporate one of these into the vacuum design. Hence the Electrolux Silent Vacuum was born.

The new vacuum not only includes an iPod dock but also integrated speakers. Would consumers like the new vacuum cleaner? Quasi scientific testing was performed with and without music and those that vacuumed with the music blasting seemed to be happier and more cheerful as they went about their household chores. Those that didn’t have the music…well…enough said.

The Electrolux Silent Vacuum is much like their upright vacuum that they create for the ultra rich, its not really available for sale, although Cecilia Gustavsson, an Electrolux representative, does state that “if
we were to get a million pre-orders through our website, we would start production.”
