Puff Dragon – Fire Fighting Robot

When you think of dragons, the fire breathing dragons guarding their treasure hoard is one image that comes to mind.

Puff Dragon - Fire Fighting Robot

Puff Dragon however has an altered existence. Rather then breath fire, this small robot puts them out with his breath.

This fire fighting robot includes sensors in the dragon head that can detect fires. Once detected, the mini bot moves in the direction of the flame to extinguish it. If he fails to blow out the fire after two attempts, a panic mode kicks in and Puff quickly backs away from the flame to ensure that his circuitry doesn’t get damaged.

Puff is part of the Arduino based tracked autonomous Robotic Vehicle that are equipped with “cliff” and “obstacle” detection.
