How would any reputable web geek propose to his girlfriend? Web 2.0 style of course. This becomes so much easier when you’re Michael Weiss-Malik, a Google employee who hears that the Street View team is planning a run just outside Google’s Mountain View offices.
When Michael heard about this, he stood outside the office holding his romantic 2.0 proposal. His proposal made it on Google Street view on August 5, 2008.
This is the second time that Michael has proposed to Leslie, but this time as he puts it, the proposal was with a bit more pizazz. On Michael’s homepage, he mentions that he will not be telling Leslie about the proposal on Google Street View. Instead, he’s asking his readership to email Leslie advising her of the proposal that’s on the net. This invitation will last for another 262 days.
I’m not quite sure what to think of this. Considering that there are still 262 days to vote and the fact that this is the second proposal, the question is does Leslie have some concerns? Here’s hoping that all works out for them.
