Earlier today, we reviewed a prototype wireless charger that Sony is in the midst of developing. The Sony technology represents the direction in which we are going but today, on a much smaller scale, Powermat has confirmed that their wireless gadget charger is now available.
The Powermats will be available in a couple of versions. There will be a home and office version as well as a portable charger. The devices will retail for $99.99 each and you will need separate charging cases for each gadget that you wish to charge.
The cases themselves will cost $39.99 and are available for most popular gadgets including the iPhone 3G, Blackberry and iPod. The Powermat is a cool solution for those looking for a one pad, one plug charger.
