Spion has come out with a portable voice lie detector. This hand-held device measures vibrations in the voice associated with the user moving from a state of clam to a state of nervousness when lying.
The Portable Lie Detector is similar to polygraph testing in that it is not 100% reliable, but has a very high degree of accuracy.
One of the advantages of the portable unit is that it is small and can be easily concealed. The unit can also interface with a cellular phone, so the user doesn’t even need to be in the same room as you. Further, due to the digital nature of cellular phones, this device is said to achieve an even higher level of accuracy when testing is performed over the phone.
Before using the unit, it will need to be trained. This is accomplished by asking the subject 3 basic yes/no questions. This will form the baseline. From there, administer the test. This gadget is somewhat visual in nature and the designers have added a bit of humor into it’s functionality. The onscreen display has a devilish face. As the subject lies, the horns and nose grow.
