Not only does the Down Low Glow bike light pimp out your ride and gives you that low rider feel, it’s main purpose is bicycle safety. According to Rock The Bike, more then 70% of all night time bicycle accidents are due to poor side visibility.

A traditional bike light shines light in both the front and the rear directions. By doing that, it becomes a challenge for cars to judge how much distance to leave between them and your bike. As a result, there is an unusually high accident rate at night from cars that are adjacent to the bike rider.

The Down Low Glow does away with that by lighting up the ground around the bike. This clearly marks the area that “belongs” to you while you ride your bike and provides an easy method for cars to judge just how much space to leave for you.
