Western Digital Corp. has announced the availability of a 2 TB high capacity hard drive. Part of the WD Caviar Green family, this new SATA hard drive offers exceptional storage space, yet does not compromise on features.
Some of the product features of the Caviar Green include:

- Cool and quiet, thus lowering pc operating temperature and making them ideal for an ultra quiet desktop pc
- NoTouch ramp load technology – The recording head never touches the media resulting in less wear to both the recording head and media itself
- IntelliSeek – Calculates optimum seek speeds to lower power consumption, noise, and vibration
