If you know your computer, then you also know that not all RAM is the same — some RAM performs better than others, and doesn’t act up when you overclock your system. Patriot Memory knows this too, and has just recently announced their newest enthusiast RAM offering — the Viper II Sector 5 series.
The Viper II Sector 5 series is a new RAM kit that operates at 2250MHz — pretty good for its class. This DDR3 RAM times at 9-9-9-27, and has been hand-tested to operate on Intel’s P55 chipset platform. As of this writing, Patriot is offering the Viper II Sector 5 RAM in a kit containing two 2GB modules, with part number PW34G2250LLK.
Patriot incorporates some sleek technology into the Viper II Sector 5 series, using aircraft-grade aluminum heat spreaders that get rid of heat when the system is overclocked. All the RAM modules are tested to operate at no less than 2250MHz each, and has overheads that let them operate at overclock speeds without a problem.
If you like the idea of getting speeds of more than 2400MHz on your RAM, you might want to give the Viper II Sector 5 series a whirl.
