Panasonic has announced the release of two new high definition camcorders, the HDC-SD10 and the HDC-TM10, which are claimed to be the “world’s lightest High Definition (HD) camcorders” on the market today.
Although both models weigh a mere 0.5 LB, they are feature packed.
The HDC-SD10 supports SDHC/SD memory cards while the HDC-TM10 supports twin memory types in the form of an internal 8 GB memory card as well as an SDHC/SD memory card. Both also come standard with 16x optical zoom that is supported by an optical image stabilizer to improve zoom shots.
Other features of these HD camcorders include:
- A touch screen LCD
- Quick power-on (1.9 sec)
- Auto power LCD to adjust the brightness of the LCD screen depending on shooting conditions
Built-in Video light and flash - One touch Full-HD video to DVD recording
Expect to see both models at local retailers in September 2009. The HDC-SD10 will be available in only black for $549.99 while the HDC-TM10 will be available in black or silver for $599.95.
