Palm Pre Canadian Launch

The Palm Pre was unveiled earlier this year at CES and today, Bell Mobility announced that they will become the second mobile provider worldwide (Sprint was first in the US) to carry the smartphone.

Those in the Great White North will have to pay a premium for the new webOS-powered smartphone. Bell will offer two service plans. First, mobile users can sign on to a 3 year phone contract as well as pay $200 CAD. The second option available is to buy the phone outright for $599.95 CAD and then sign up for a minimal service data plan of 500MB at a monthly rate of $45 per month.

The Palm Pre is 3G enabled, includes a 3.1-inch touchscreen display with 480×320 resolution and has a full QWERTY keyboard.
