The holiday season always brings about great deals with the latest offering coming from WirelessWave, a Canadian wireless retailer and Bell Mobility. The webOS based Palm Pre when first launched was thought to be an Apple iPhone killer, but needless to say, the smartphone never really lived up to the expectations placed upon it.
Over time, the smartphone has been discounted a few times and today, you can pick up a Palm Pre at the rock bottom price of $0, that’s right zero as in zilch. The free Palm Pre deal will require that you sign a three year service contract with Bell Mobility. It’s believed the Palm Pixi will be the next smartphone to get a deep discount and one has to question whether this is the start of a downward spiral for Palm again or if they have some new gadgets up their sleeve for CES 2010.
