OWC (Other World Computing), a company known amongst MAC users for making products for data storage and upgrades has announced a new hard drive.
Known as the Mercury On-The-Go Pro, the new hard drive is the first USB/FireWire 800/400 2.5″ portable drive to provide 1TB of digital storage. The drive is compatible with both PC and Mac and offers a high storage capacity in a portable medium.
The drive supports data transfer speeds up to 100MB/s and seeing as it is bus powered, there is no need for any additional A/C power. The OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro 1TB retails for $299.99 if you only need a USB drive, but if you’re looking for the three interface drive (Firewire 400, 800 and USB), expect the price to jump to $359.99.
