Oppo Android

OPPO is a well-known portable media player manufacturer, and fans should be interested to know that the company is planning to release its very own Android-based smartphone early next year. The news was announced as early as two months ago, but now we have a few more details of what the OPPO smartphone is going to offer.

The handset is going to have a 3.5-inch, 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen display, possibly with multi-touch support. It’s also likely going to have a full QWERTY keyboard and Wi-Fi capabilities. And, of course, it’s going to run on the robust Google Android platform.

We’re still eagerly waiting for more details about the OPPO smartphone at this point, and it’s likely we’re going to see more details about it soon. It’s already slated for a first-quarter 2010 release, though it’s still anyone’s guess how well it’s going to stack up against the other smartphones in the market. If the OPPO smartphone performs as well as the company’s portable media players, it could prove to be a real keeper.
