Mobile phones are designed with a variety of different power sources. There are mobile devices that are solar powered, others like the Apple iPhone include a non-removable battery, while some come with a flat removable battery. There’s even a rather unusual mobile phone that can use the sugar in Coke as a power source.
The Olive FrvrOn V-G2300 mobile phone is a little different. The device is a dual power GSM mobile phone that functions with a rechargeable Li-ion battery. However, in a pinch when you’re out of battery power and let’s face it, all of us have been in this situation, the Olive FrvrOn can run on a standard AAA battery.
The new phone is being released in India only at this time. It certainly is a no frills mobile phone, you won’t be getting any advanced features typically seen with the higher end phones, but if you’re looking for a basic cheap phone, this one will run about $37.
The G2300 comes with a 1.5-inch CSTN color screen display with 128×128 pixel resolution and a white backlight. The phone includes both Hindi and English language support as well as an FM radio, calculator, alarm, calender and speaker phone. 16 polyphonic ringtones are also thrown in.
