
The Nokia N900 mobile computer is now available in the US and can be purchased at the Nokia flagship stores located in New York and Chicago as well as online through Nokia’s website and a variety of other online retailers. Built upon the open source Linux based Maemo OS, the Nokia N900 will ship for $649.


The mobile computer features 32GB storage, 3.5-inch touchscreen display with WVGA resolution, full QWERTY keyboard, FM transmitter, 5MP digital camera with Carl Zeiss lens and a dual LED flash. The smartphone is powered by a 600MHz processor and includes 256MB RAM, 786MB virtual RAM which should be sufficient for multi-tasking amongst several applications at one time. To round out the features, the N900 comes with GPS, HSPA, WiFi and Bluetooth support.
