
Nokia (NYSE:NOK) has officially announced their Nokia N8 mobile phone, their first Symbian^3 camera phone. Expected to be available in the third quarter of this year, the Symbian powered phone will be available in five different colors, black, blue, lime, orange and silver.
It will include a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display as well as 16GB of internal memory that can be upgraded to 48GB using the microSD card slot. The Nokia N8 includes Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and 3G support, a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and a Xenon flash, 720 HD video recording, FM radio and a-GPS.
The Nokia phone also has a 1200mAh battery offering mobile users about 12 hours of talk time, 50 hours of music playback, 7 hours of video playback and over 3 hours of video recording time. The phone will retail for about $500.
