Nikon, a leader in digital camera technology has added three new cameras to their lineup. Of the three, the Nikon Coolpix S1000PJ is particularly interesting as it is the world’s first hybrid compact camera to include a built-in wall projector.

The projector has the capacity of projecting an image size of 40-inches in VGA resolution on any flat surface at a maximum distance of 2 meters.

The one touch projection system comes with a projection stand as well as a dual purpose wireless remote control that can be used for either the projector or for still picture photography.

Aside from the projector, the Coolpix S1000PJ includes a 12.1 megapixel sensor, a 5x digital zoom (Zoom-Nikkor) lens, the Nikon 5-way VR Image Stabilization System, 2.7-inch LCD display and a scene auto selector for the beginner photographer.

Available in matte black, the Nikon camera will retail in September for $430.
