Google just recently released a software update for Nexus One phone users, patching up a few bugs and bringing upgrades to some applications. Some of the upgrades sound particularly useful, such as the following.
Google Maps 3.4 offers new useful features, such as the use of starred items synced with maps.google.com. Now users can use their handsets or PC’s to access their favorite places. An improved search feature also lets users find places they’ve searched for previously much easier.
Another useful upgrade is the Google Maps Navigation night mode, which automatically changes the screen after dark, making it easier to navigate and drive.
Still more — Nexus One users can now pinch-to-zoom in most of their phone’s applications, such as the browser, maps, and gallery.
Google is rolling out the upgrade to all Nexus One users over the next week or two, so if you haven’t received the update yet, be patient. It should reach you shortly.
