
Continuing in the line of Apple announcements from today is confirmation that a new iPod Touch is on the way. The new device will share some commonality with another fairly new Apple product, the iPhone 4, in that it will make use of the same Retina Display and an Apple A4 processing chip.
What’s new on the next generation iPod Touch is the inclusion of a front facing camera which has been included for FaceTime. There is also a 3-axis gyro and a rear facing camera included for 720p HD video recording. You will be able to pre-order the new line of iPod Touch devices from today onward and they will be available in eitehr 8GB, 32GB and 64GB capacity.
