Micro-blogging site Twitter has rolled out their latest feature known as list. The feature allows you to create groups of people based upon specific criteria or traits that they share in common. By categorizing your Twitter followers in such a way, you make it easier for someone else to follow the entire group on the list with just a single click.
Twitter describes the new feature as “a way to organize the people you follow and discover new and interesting accounts.” Currently, the feature is being offered to a select group of beta testers, with testers asked not to divulge the details of the new feature. Of course, news of this new feature spread through tweets as wild fire.
Although list is a new feature for Twitter, social networking site Facebook has had this for some time. It’s believed that list will put an end to Follow Friday, a popular trend in Twitter where you tweet the names of people you feel are worthy of being followed.

With this new feature I really feel that Twitter is coming up in the world now. Finally not just a teenage social program anymore but coming to its own as a viable marketing tool.
