With the new Transformers movie to debut in late June, the product placements and advertising opportunities will be huge.
Transformer mania is expected to grip the country and we will see lots of transforming gadgets both in the form of kids toys and little trinkets.
The most recent addition to this collection is the Transformer Qosmio Netbook. This device converts between a front loading cassette playing robotic alien life form and a four port USB hub that sits on top of a nonfunctional Qosmio Netbook.
The Transformer toy will not be available until September, but other then the fact that it transforms into a cool robot, it really doesn’t have any new features or devices. After all, the netbook doesn’t work and how many kids these days still use an old school cassette deck. It may have been better to modernize this a bit by including a cheap MP3 player or something along that line.
