New Samsung Galaxy Note Announement On August 29th

The Korean phone maker has a new product that they want to show off at the end of this month and it just so happens to be a new model of the Galaxy Note mobile phone. According to the press release that has been received, the new device will be showcased on August 29th in Berlin, Germany.

It is on this date that Samsung will hold their Samsung Mobile event in advance of the start of the IFA 2012 trade show. Press invitations for this event were just sent out yesterday. The Galaxy Note has been an important product for Samsung, one that has allowed the company to increase its market share in the ever so competitive mobile phone business with Samsung having sold in excess of 7 million devices as of June.

The timing of this announcement is quite interesting. We’re hearing about a lot of late August, early fall announcements and the Samsung one will allow them to generate some hype for their product prior to the iPhone announcement which will take place on September 12. As we know, both Apple and Samsung have been going at it, tooth and nail, both within the courtroom as well as in the market place.
