New Nokia C6 Touchscreen Slider Leaked

New Nokia C6 Touchscreen Leaked

It appears that the Nokia C series of mobile phones is soon to get a new addition if the rumor mill is correct. The latest addition which is expected to debut in the summer of 2010 is the Nokia C6.

The candybar phone is the successor to the Nokia C5, a smartphone that itself only became official earlier this month. If the leaked picture is accurate, then it would appear that the C6 has a full QWERTY keyboard with keys more reminiscent of the Nokia N900.

The Finnish phone maker is also continuing to use its new naming convention with mobile phones being placed into either the C series, X series or the N series. The N series is reserved for their flagship device range, while the X series such as the Nokia X6 model places a greater emphasis on social entertainment. The C series on the other hand is considered Nokia’s entry level range and as a member of this category, the C6 will have fairly basic features which are rumored to be 256MB of internal storage with memory expansion possible through the use of the microSD card slot. Other features will include 3G and of course a touchscreen display. Absent though is a tilting display, something that was seen on both the N97 and the N97 mini. A better idea of hardware specifications will be available once the mobile phone becomes official.
