Today, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has also refreshed their iPod Nano lineup, giving the portable music player a new finish. Gone is the click wheel and in its place is a new multi-touch square screen which runs on a variation of the Apple iOS.

The new device will be available in either 8GB or 16GB and you can choose between any of 7 colors. Some of the new features include a smaller form factor as it is both 46% smaller and 42% lighter then older models. It will also have the ability of playing music for a full 24 hours and there is now a clip on the rear of the device.

If you’re looking to buy one of the new iPod Nano players, expect to pay $149 for the smaller 8GB model or $179 for the 16GB model. Pre-orders are being accepted on the Apple website today with shipping expected to occur next week some time.
