New AMOLED Display Screen Is Flexible And 0.1 mm Thin

There are a number of companies that are working on flexible screen technology including LG, HP, TDK and Sony to name just a few, but this recent development may be the thinnest AMOLED display announced to date.

While other companies have managed to get their screens down to a thickness of 0.3mm, ITRI, a Taiwanese research company has created one that is 0.1mm thin. A reduction in thickness by 0.2mm may not seem like a lot, but you just never know if this advancement in screen technology will result in the next breakthrough ebook reader.
