Netgear is moving into NAS (network area storage) devices with their new product known as Stora. The 1TB Ethernet connected network drive acts as a DLNA media server or iTunes music server.
Compatible with a variety of operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac, the device includes a second SATA slot for an additional hard drive that can be used for RAID mirroring.
The Stora drive can be accessed using an easy to use web interface (MyStora.com) that allows media file sharing with friends and family through any internet connected device.
The NetGear Stora MS2110 NAS drive retails for $229.
