Google’s still pretty much in a stalemate with China at the moment, and millions of tech-savvy mainland Chinese are still deprived of relevant search results. But that might change, at least for the short-term, with the introduction of “Goojje” — China’s newest search engine.
“Goojje” is pronounced something like “Goo-jie-jie,” which sounds similar to the Chinese pronunciation of “Google.” The Goojje logo is definitely a knockoff of the familiar, colorful “Google” we’ve all come to know and love — but then again, what do you expect in this ongoing feud.
That’s the insulting part, but Goojje does have its plus sides. For one, it serves as a temporary placeholder for Google (how well it does in retrieving relevant search results remains to be seen, though). It also gives Chinese people who don’t necessarily agree with their government a way to help keep the economy moving.
While we’re waiting for any finality in the Google vs China issue, Goojje has a message on its homepage that implies it WANTS Google back in operation in China. Interesting? You bet.

You are too serious about goojje.com dude. It is just a social site created by b bunch of kids to take advantage of the google’s exit of china. It’s search results are a combination of google and baidu.
