Myka has come out with their Ion Nettop HD player. The new nettop player is a complete home theater solution which runs on the Ubuntu 9.10 Linux operating system and includes XBMC media center and Boxee software. There is also out of the box support for Adobe Flash as well as the online streaming service Hulu.

Under the hood, the media streamer is powered by an Intel 1.6 GHz Intel Atom 330 CPU and an NVIDIA ION GPU which allows for good quality HD content streaming to your TV. To round out the specifications, there is also 2GB RAM, 160GB HD, 6 USB 2.0 ports, VGA, 3 audio jacks (mic-in, line-in, line-out) and 2 (optical/coaxial) S/PDIF-out ports.
Pricing on this unit will of course depend upon any optional features that you wish to include such as a Blu-ray drive, wireless support or if you plan to upgrade the hard drive size.
The base price with just the smallest hard drive and without wireless or Blue-ray is $379 whereas if you include all of these features, the price will quickly rise to $769 which is on par with both the Dell and HP media centers.
