
PC maker Micro-Star International (MSI) first introduced their GE600 at CES and today, the new gaming notebook has officially launched. The new laptop is powered by the Intel Core i5 processor (processor speed unknown) and includes an ATI Radeon HD5730 graphics card with 1GB DDR3 VRAM.
The GE600 was designed to be the ultimate gaming machine and includes features to enhance the experience of game play. The MSI notebook has a 16-inch high definition TFT LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. An integrated subwoofer, dual stereo speakers, 7.1-channel audio output are also part of the package as are GPU Boost overclocking and Cinema Pro software.
In terms of hard drive size, users can optionally select amongst three sizes, 250GB, 320GB or 500GB and the unit also comes standard with HDMI output, 3 USB 2.0 ports, VGA and an eSATA port. For network connectivity, the MSI laptop supports the usual methods and has an Ethernet jack for wired connections as well as supports the wireless technologies of WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth V2.1 with EDR.
The GE600 will comes with a 6-cell battery (optional 9-cell battery available), Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium and has a net weight of 6lbs.
