MSI has introduced a new digital media streamer called the MSI Movie Station HD1000. The new device joins the ranks of other popular streaming products such as the Apple TV, Slingbox and the Boxee Box and allows you to stream digital content over the home network to your television.

The MSI home media player supports full HD video content (1080p) and includes 2 USB ports as well as a card reader port through which an external storage devices can be connected, thereby allowing their stored content to be streamed as well. For data streaming, users will have a choice between either a WiFi wireless connection or a wired connection on the PC site and HDMI, Composite or Component connections on the TV side.

To round out the features, the 154mm x116mm x28mm (385g) unit includes a remote control and comes with an elegant black finish making it a nice addition to your home entertainment system although the 99 Euro ($142 USD) price may turn some consumers off. The MSI Movie Station HD1000 will release in Germany with a possible later launch date for other select European markets.
