Move Over Energizer Bunny, There’s A New Kid On The Block

The Panasonic Evolta battery is now the reigning champ when it comes to the longest lasting AA alkaline battery. This fact has also been confirmed by the Guinness World Records, which has now created a new category in their records just for batteries.

Interestingly enough, Evolta derives it’s name from Evolution and Voltage, two items that symbolize the growth and power of these batteries. Panasonic claims that they were able to improve battery life by giving Evolta a new interior structure which resulted in additional space that could house additional active ingredients. Performance wise, Panasonic claims that the Evolta will perform 1.3-2 times longer then their existing batteries.
