Within the United States, we’re just three days away until the official launch date of the Motorola XOOM. Those that are planning on buying the XOOM tablet on day 1, February 24th, will have one less feature then was originally expected.
The XOOM tablet does not support Adobe Flash out of the gate. Although this is an Android tablet that is running Google Honeycomb which has been optimized for tablet computers, it would appear that someone didn’t get the memo that the ability to run Adobe Flash videos would be a good idea.
The bad news was spotted on a Verizon promotional poster, but in order to read it, you really needed a pair of good eyes or a magnifying glass to read the fine print located at the bottom of the poster. The one liner is “Adobe Flash expected Spring 2011.”
There you go, you can still have some fun with this 1GHz dual core CPU tablet that has a 10.1-inch display screen, but you will have to wait until Spring before you can watch those Flash videos.
