Motorola Milestone owners have been patiently waiting for the Android 2.2 OS update for their device and now we have a few more details on this front. First is the good news which is that the device is slated to get Froyo, but the bad news is that this update will not happen until Q1 2011.
Unfortunately, Motorola has also given us just a rough estimate of when the update will occur rather then providing the exact month that users can expect it. The Motorola Milestone which is also known as the Droid was by far one of the better Android phones to enter the market with its slimline form factor and 267ppi display.
When Froyo finally does become available, Milestone users will see faster Internet browsing speeds, Flash tethering and 720p high definition video recording. With all the delays with Froyo, one has to wonder if this smartphone will ever see the light of Gingerbread (Android 3.0).

Milestone won’t get gingerbread as gingerbread is being developed for android phones with 1 ghz or higher cpu
