Officially, the Motorola Droid 2 is not due out for at least a few more weeks, but it seems that enough tech savy folks have managed to get their hands on it. As a result, we are now starting to see Quandrant benchmarks surface. From the benchmarks that have been posted, it appears that the Motorola Droid 2 which run on Android 2.2 (Froyo) has significantly benefited with the processor upgrade from 550MHz to 1GHz. The results do seem to show that the Droid 2 does outperform the Nexus One.

What are your thoughts, are you looking forward to buying the Motorola Droid 2, or do you have your eye on another smartphone that is coming up?
