Leaked images of a new Motorola smartphone have surfaced. According to the French website Android France, the prototype Android handset is known as the Twist.
The device is characterized by its distinctive square shape which has measurements of 67×67 mm and a thickness of 15.8mm. For features, the QWERTY slider phone will utilize Motoblur, Motorola’s custom user interface that will reside on top of the Android 2.1 OS. Assuming the leak is accurate, this will also be the first Android handset to be released by Motorola.
Though still rumor, it’s believed the handset will come with a 2.8-inch screen display that offers 320×240 pixel resolution. There will also be a 3MP digital camera, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth support, a microSD card slot for expanding memory capacity and all of this will be powered by a 700mHz processor chip.
The Twist will launch on June 10th.
