Microsoft Surface Table Launches in Vegas

If you’re not familiar with the Microsoft Surface Table, these tables made quite a splash when Microsoft announced them as they represented a significant jump in technology. As it sounds, the tables respond to touch, similar to touch screens that you see in kiosks. Due to their large size, it was thought that the early adopters of this technology would be places where large numbers of people congregate such as restaurants.

Microsoft has confirmed that the Surface Touch Tables will launch in…where else…Vegas, where everything is bigger then life. At $10,000 a pop, Harrah’s has purchased these tables for the Rio Hotel and Casino. In a city where money flows, you can bet that other Hotel/Casino chains will be getting on board to purchase tables, which ultimately will help the bottom line for Microsoft.

Microsoft has coded customized the applications for Harrah’s so that they can offer their clients the ability to checkout available in town concerts, order drinks, watch youtube videos and also flirt, all without the need to leave your seat.
