With Apple’s big announcement regarding the iPhone 5 out of the way, attention will turn to some of the other product releases that are scheduled for this year. As we know, Microsoft is planning on rolling out their next generation operating system, Windows 8 and some of the best ambassadors for a product can be company employees.
Recently, the Redmond company held an internal meeting at Seattle’s KeyArena and following this, it has been discovered that the company is planning on giving all of their full time staff some new perks. Of these, their 90,000 Blue Badges will each receive a free Surface Tablet with Window RT that can be used for either personal and business use.
In addition to this, the company is also advancing their refresh schedule a little forward to ensure that all staff will have access to the Windows 8 operating system. In order to meet this goal, Microsoft will call upon their hardware vendors to provide the necessary hardware.
Finally, the last perk that staff will receive for now is a refreshed smartphone. Gone will be the older Windows Phone 7 devices, with these being replaced by a new Windows Phone 8 handset. This of course will also be a free upgrade, one that staff can use for either home or business purposes.
