Microsoft’s next browser version, IE 9 is getting ready to launch and in advance of this, there appears to have been a possible leak offering a sneak peak at the new user interface that will be featured with it.
Microsoft is planning on holding a beta launch party for the new browser in San Francisco on September 15th at which point, they would be the ones to unveil the new UI. However, in today’s day and age, even closely guarded secrets can’t seem to remain quiet long for an official launch as most smartphones come with a digital camera and Internet connections are available everywhere.
When you look at the new IE9 US, there are certainly elements of the Google Chrome browser. The navigational bar will come with fewer controls then in past iterations of the browser, but it will have a back/forwards button and a combo url/search box. Over the past few years, Microsoft has seen the number of IE users dropping as Internet users turn to alternative browsers instead. It’s their hope that IE9 will allow them to regain some of this lost share.
