Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 Preview 3 Includes HTML5 Support

Microsoft corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has been actively working on their next generation browser Internet Explorer 9 and has now made the web browser publicly available for download as a Preview 3. Ideally, the new release is to allow developers to get an early glimpse of the browser but seeing that it is on the Microsoft website, it is readily available for even the casual Internet user to download if they so choose.

Microsoft has lost a lot of ground to other browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and the recent anti-trust lawsuits have eroded the Redmond company’s share in the browser world. With IE9, Microsoft hopes to regain some of this lost ground and has included support for hardware accelerated HTML5 audio, video and canvas tags, a new JavaScript engine (Chakra), CCS3, SVG 1.1 and DOM.
