Mattel Remote Control Cars That Fold Up

Mattel Remote Control Cars That Fold Up

Mattel Toys, the world’s largest toy company has come out with a rather cool remote control car. It’s the world’s first remote control car that can be folded.

Known as “Stealth Rides”, these R/C cars won’t actually make their official debut until the Toy Fair in New York which is being held later this month. The Stealth Rides are small in size, roughly the size of a USB key and they fit inside a small case that also doubles as the wireless remote control.

Once the car is in its folded state, it is only a matter of removing it from it’s protective case and pushing a release button to unfold it. Mattel plans to unveil five models of these new Hot Wheels including two tanks, two cars and what will most likely be the most popular car, the Batmobile Tumbler.

One of the drawbacks of some RC cars is the limited playtime available after a full charge. This is not the case with the Stealth Rides as a full battery will offer “30 minutes of play, and that’s a long time for such a small remote-control toy.”

Expect to see the new cars at toy shops this August when they will retail for about $25.
